GoPro asked us to plan and execute two media events in Shanghai and Beijing. The aim? To introduce its latest GoPro Hero 4, and to announce its first online sales channels for China on Tmall and jd.com.

We organised two “Media Day” events in the two cities. We identified and invited a good mix of top-tier local media and key influencers to the events and made them highly interactive by arming them with GoPro cameras which they used to film their own experiences when Go Karting. We gave real-time product demos with GoPro experts from the US demonstrating the key features of the new lineup and helping the participants edit their own footages using GoPro Studio.

The Results

  • 196 pieces of coverage across channels including magazines, newspapers, websites, apps, Weibo, WeChat and video sites.
